Frequently Asked Questions!

Here are just a few of the most commonly asked questions and my answers to them! If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me or leave a question in the box on my 'contact' page.

Q: Do I need veterinary consent before booking an appointment?

A: You will not need consent if the session is solely for maintenance. You must obtain consent from your vet before I can treat your animal if your pet is currently under veterinary care for a previous injury, condition or if your pet is showing signs of lameness. You can contact your vet before speaking with me or I can call them on your behalf. Please fill in one of the forms below to send to your veterinarian:

Q: How long do sessions last for?

A: For canine patients, an initial consultation will last for approximately an hour and follow-up sessions will last for 45 minutes. Equine patients tend to take up a little more time, so you could expect the initial assessment to last for 1.5 to 2 hours and a follow-up will last between 1 to 1.5 hours.

Q: Will pet insurance cover the costs of physiotherapy?

A: Some insurance policies will cover the costs of physiotherapy. If you are hoping to claim back with your insurance you are still required to pay treatment fees in full, then you will be provided with an invoice to help with your claim. Please check your policy prior to booking a session.

Q: Can I book a physiotherapy session in the evenings/weekends?

A: Yes, I am flexible with my hours. I am able to treat on weekdays, including some evenings and weekends.
